GI (Galvanized Iron) - Hot Dip

Hot-dip galvanized iron sheets with zinc coating (Z120-Z275). Excellent corrosion resistance for outdoor and industrial applications. Most common GI grade in India.

  • Cutting Speed: 12–20 m/min (1mm)
  • Recommended Gas: Oxygen (fast) / Nitrogen (clean)

PPGI (Pre-Painted Galvanized Iron)

Color-coated galvanized sheets with paint/polymer coating. Used in roofing, wall cladding, and decorative applications. Requires nitrogen cutting to prevent paint damage.

  • Cutting Speed: 10–16 m/min (1mm)
  • Recommended Gas: Nitrogen (mandatory)

Electro-Galvanized (EG)

Thin zinc coating applied by electroplating. Used in automotive, appliances, and electronics. Provides smooth finish and good paintability.
